6:00P.M. Dinner & a Play Join us for dinner at Maria’s Italian Restaurant, 9570 Woodman Road at Hungary Road in the Laurel Park Shopping Center. (At the end of the strip, near Jazzercise and Dollar General). Then we will meet at the Glen Allen Cultural Center on Mountain Road (west of Woodman) around 7:45pm to see the play A Bad Year for Tomatoes. This is a comedy about the trials and tribulations of a famous TV actress who tries to escape the pressures of her career by moving to a small neww England town. Admission is $9. 5:30P.M. Dinner and a Movie Located at Regal Shortpump Theater 14. This month we’re doing another dinner and a movie. We’ll meet 5:30 pm at the entrance of the Regal Shortpump 14 Theaters, 11650 West Broad Street, in Shortpump. We’ll then decide which restaurant to have dinner (there are plenty right there), and after dinner we’ll choose what movie(s) to see. The Regal Shortpump 14 is a comfortable theater with large, plush seats, and features up to 14 of Hollywood’s finest mediocrity – I mean – productions. Anyway, it’ll be fun. So, please join us. 5:00P.M. Putt - Putt Located at 1675 Ashland Rd.. Lets see if we can try and play this time. Last month was a washout and it was COLD. But for those that did show up, Dinner was great. So come on out and join the crew as we tackle the greens, water, slopes, bends, and rocks. Aferwards, will pick a place to eat and have idle chit-chat. 11am-3pmP.M. Memorial Day Picnic Join us at the Roslyn Center Pavilion at 8727 River Road (one half mile east of the intersection with Parham). We will meet at 11am to socialize & walk, then we will start the Grill at 11:45am and eat from 12-1. If it is not raining we will play Volleyball from 1-2 and swim from 2-3. If it looks like rain bring along some indoor games. All singles are welcome and we have invited other singles groups. Bring your own food to grill and bring a dish to share. Solo will provide the condiments, beverages and paper products. Cost: $4 SD members and $6 for others. RSVP is requested before by 5pm 5/28 to at 342-7495 or email.
